1 Vegas Baby! 7 Reasons Why Sin City Will Never Lose its Charm

Las Vegas is the go-to leisure destination for people from across the world. It’s a reputation that it acquired in the 1930s, and has maintained ever since!
There is something for everyone in Las Vegas, from casinos and ultra-luxurious hotels to spectacular shows and fine dining experiences. The destination for the unforgettable bachelor party, a hotspot for business conferences, adventure tourism – you get all this and more here.
This is a city that never sleeps and will never lose its charm and appeal. Here are 7 reasons why.

#1. It’s The Watering Hole for Celebrities

Since the 1930s, Vegas has been a watering hole for celebrities. Performers like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Dean Martin and even Ray Charles contributed heftily to tourists swarming to Vegas for some entertainment.
That trend continues even today - Vegas is the dream destination for countless aspiring magicians, stand-up comics and other variety entertainment acts that you see on TV. Ask them and the refrain is common among most of them – I want to have my own show in Vegas!

#2. Apart from ‘Sin’ City, it’s Also Known as Casino City

Heck yeah VEGAS! Who’d pass up an opportunity to visit one of the top destinations in the world? We sure wouldn’t!
This Sin City has built itself quite the reputation over the decades. It’s renowned for once-in-a-lifetime bachelor parties, girls trips and simply letting loose and rolling the dice at the craps table. Did someone say lucky number 7?

Certainly a hub for avid gamblers, but equally a great destination for the newbie players who prefer to hit the slots and try their luck. And while there are many no deposit casinos available online, there’s nothing that beats the authentic Vegas experience than painting the town red and paying a visit to some of Vegas’ top casino resorts.

You guessed right; the biggest draw at Las Vegas is its impeccable collection of casinos. There are 31 of them on the Strip and another 20 within the city limits. Between them there are 200,000 slot machines and an almost endless massive collection of table games too.

Las Vegas casinos have it all. Snazzy casino floors are just the beginning; there are exclusive VIP rooms for poker, especially for the high rollers. Play at one of these rooms and you will likely run into some of the celebrity heavy hitters as well. The MGM Grand in Vegas was where Kerry Packer, the Aussie billionaire, won $33 million!

2020 saw Vegas come to a standstill of sorts because of COVID-19, but now Vegas is alive, and how – in 2021 the 31 casinos in the city raked in a mind-blowing $7 billion. And that number is only set to explode by the end of 2022.

#3. Oh… But There’s Also Shopping!

Say Las Vegas and the first thing that comes to mind is gambling, but that is not the only thing for you to do Sin City. You also have fantastic shopping options lined up.

Each casino has its own set of shops and they are great because they give you the chance to indulge in a much-needed break without actually breaking out of the casino. But they are pricey; so if you are into value for money you may want to stay away from them.

All you need to do is head out of the casino and into one of the two outlet malls in the vicinity – Las Vegas Premium Outlets and Fashion Outlets Las Vegas. You will find fancy designer brands in each of these malls; the difference is that the brands at these outlets come with massive discounts.

#4. Say Hello to Adventure Tourism

Adventure tourism is a big draw nowadays and there is loads of it in Las Vegas. Visit any of the adventure tourism hotspots here for a fabulous time overall. Imagine the kind of boxes you check when you are in Vegas – casinos, restaurants, shopping and now adventure tourism. No wonder everybody loves Las Vegas!

If you are an animal lover then the place to check out first at Las Vegas is the marine habitat park called Siegfried and Roy’s Garden; what better way to start your day than with a swim with some sprightly dolphins?

If you love racing, head out to the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure outfit and get into one of the NASCAR vehicles stationed there for the ride of your life. There are outdoor package tours as well – you could visit the Hoover Dam Bypass and also check out the Grand Canyon, or just visit the Stratosphere Tower.

#5. It’s Home to Great Food and Dining Experiences

The one thing that Las Vegas has in plenty other than its casinos is out-of-the-world food. There is food of all flavors, styles and ethnicities in Las Vegas – the best places to look for them are in the restaurants at the major casinos.

For those who love their meat, a great fine dining spot to try out is the Burger Bar at the Mandalay Bay Casino. Vegan burgers, beef burgers, burgers featuring buffalo meat, lamb burgers and more – this place has them all, in various shapes and sizes.

If you wish to try out award-winning food head over to the Bellagio Casino and eat at Picasso – it has won the AAA 5 Diamond Award a whopping 13 times. Want to taste food from the chef that France has designated the ‘Chef of the Century’? Then head over to L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand.

And if you suddenly feel like trying out food from the renowned Savoy in Paris even as you gamble away in Vegas, step into the restaurant Guy Savoy at the Caesar’s Palace casino.

#6. There’s Also Something For the History Buffs

Believe it or not, Las Vegas works for the history buff and the museum aficionado as well. There is a lot to learn when you are in Vegas, and what better way to do it than by taking a tour of the multiple museums in this city?

There are museums of all themes and contexts here. Find that hard to believe? Then check out the Mob Museum, which pays tribute to the Mafia traditions that the city was associated with in the early days. And then there are museums showcasing art from the finest artists of the world, including Van Gogh.

You will be able to take a peek at displays and exhibits of all kinds in Vegas, from a Barbie exhibition right up to the fossils of an Ichthyosaur and the .38-caliber Colt Detective that was used in the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in 1929. There are thrills and spills for the horror buffs too and of course the irresistible Madame Tussaud’s Las Vegas.

#7. It’s More Affordable Than You Think!

With all the glitter and jazz that surrounds Las Vegas, you would expect this to be a city that burns a hole in the pocket of all visitors here, right? Wrong, actually. It is the truth – Vegas provides the best bang for your buck when it comes to holiday destinations.

You could get 5-star accommodation facilities as low as $100 per night, which is nothing compared to the $800-a-night rates of, say, San Francisco. And if you are hitting the casinos there are the comps to consider – they would take away a lot of your expenses while you are here.

Great food, outstanding casino action and spectacular shows, all at a price that you would happily pay: You couldn’t ask for more than that from your dream holiday destination now, could you?
