Yes, this momument is called Buzludzha. It's one of the biggest monuments of the red ideology. Every year the 'red party' celebrate the anniversary of the beginning of the social-democratic party in Bulgaria there. Actually in a place near to the monument.

Buzludzha actually is a historical place for Bulgaria and one of the great Bulgarian poems (HADZHI DIMITAR) is dedicated to this place.

Yep, the monument is called Buzludzha, it was the symbol of the communists. They used to gather there, showing off. We just called it the UFO 61 , some believe it will fly away someday 01 There's a lot of abandoned monuments like this one here in Bulgaria, but this one is still the best

We have many similar communist monuments like these in Serbia but still maintain them. It's part of history, people shouldn't... heck, can't just "forget" about it.

Besides, tourists like to visit them... they look interesting, regardless of current political ideology.
