Seven. Perfect ending. Brad Pitt put a clause in his contract that if the studio tried to change the ending because it didn’t “test well” that they wouldn’t be able to use any of his footage (they would have to replace all his scenes with another actor). That movie would have sucked if the ending were any different. Well played Brad, well played.

There's actually two versions. The original theatrical release had a completely out-of-nowhere happy ending tacked on at studio insistence, but the director's cut returned to the original, much darker end.

The same fate befell Terry Gilliam's "Brazil", which is also excellent.

Yeah, yeah, they‘re not enemies anymore, but that deep friendship is gone and will never return. It died alongside their childhood and it makes me cry just thinking about it. They are now strangers living in different worlds with only their memory thinking, „You know my best buddy from years ago. Hope he‘s good.“

Green Mile.

My friends and I watched this movie. It was Tom Hanks and we knew it is sad. But hell, we were all sobbing the whole movie and cried in the end. Great movie but would never watch again fosho.

Gladiator. Maximus's death was too sad but also wholesome in a way. Even though it is one of the best movie i have ever watched, don't think could watch it again
