Haha France was the country of smelly people in 1944 when the Americans met a French population devastated and ruined by 5 years of war. Soap was indeed very rare and expensive, the money was saved for food.

So when an Italian says in 2010 France is the country of smelly people, that just shows how the american culture has taken over in Italy.

01 it's just a stereotype, I know that Franch people doesn't smell as is not true that italians plays Mandolin.. I've never seen a Mandoline in my life :P
