Grand Canyon

If you are a fan of whitewater rafting, then the Grand Canyon is the place to be. With the Colorado River running through the canyon, there are endless areas to dip your feet in the water and just enjoy the scenery. Not a fan of water? Yosemite

Yosemite has it all and is just 170 miles east of San Francisco. Massive mountains, meadows, and sequoia trees hide plenty of waterfalls so you will want to take several days in this location. If you are feeling a little frisky, Yosemite’s famous Half Dome hike is suited for proficient hikers.

Wyoming is one of the best secrets in the states and offers plenty of activities year-round. During the colder months you can find numerous areas for skiing, snowshoeing, and even sleigh rides.
