I have been using my Pentel Graph Gear 1000 daily for 6 years now. Not a single problem. I bought two of them originally and I still have not used the second one. Don’t buy cheap mechanical pencils. This thing is a beast and is only about $15. I am going to likely buy the 0.5mm, and 0.3mm versions.
