Foundation
Foundation is an adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s trilogy of the same name. The show is about The Foundation, “a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.” It follows a complex saga of all the humans scattered on planets throughout the galaxy.
When it premieres: TBD on Apple TV+
WandaVision
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Wanda Maximoff, and Vision find themselves living super-normal suburban lives. However, they can’t remember where they came from or how they got there. Once they travel through decades and classic TV tropes, they begin to realize that things aren’t quite as “normal” as they seem.
When it premieres: Jan. 15 on Disney+
Clarice
This series takes place in 1991, a year after the events of Silence of the Lambs and serves as a sequel series to the movie. It follows Clarice Starling (Rebecca Breeds) as she returns to work in Washington, DC and goes back to her normal life of catching serial killers and sexual predators.
When it premieres: Feb. 11 on CBS
The Underground Railroad
Moonlight creator Barry Jenkins has created his first television series. It’s an adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s novel of the same name, where in an alternate history, the Underground Railroad was an actual railway used by slaves in the 19th century. The limited series will follow a young woman named Cora (Thuso Mbedu) as she escapes the South, looking for the rumored and metaphorical Underground Railroad, only to find an actual network of tracks and tunnels beneath the ground.
When it premieres: TBD on Amazon Prime Video
The Dropout
Kate McKinnon takes on the role of Elizabeth Holmes in this Hulu series. Based on the ABC podcast The Dropout, this series will explore the quick rise and eventual fall of Holmes and her company, Theranos.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes team up to defeat an anarchist group called the Flag-Smashers. This series will also explore the aftermath of Captain America’s death and Sam’s decision to remain as Falcon after Captain America gives him his iconic shield.
When it premieres: March 19 on Disney+
Nine Perfect Strangers
Based on the Liane Moriarty novel of the same name, this miniseries will follow nine strangers who embark on a 10-day wellness retreat. As the retreat goes on and the characters start to learn more about each other and their respective issues, the strangers begin to second-guess the real purpose of this retreat. This series stars Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Samara Weaving, Regina Hall, Manny Jacinto, Tiffany Boone, Bobby Cannavale, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, and Michael Shannon.

Superman & Lois
Superman & Lois is the newest series in the Arrowverse. After years of saving the universe, Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Bitsie Tulloch) return to embark on their most challenging adventure yet — parenthood. Throughout the series, we’ll watch Clark and Lois take on the roles of working parents while also figuring out whether or not their sons will inherit Clark’s superpowers.
When it premieres: Feb. 23 on The CW
The Nevers
The Nevers is about a group of Victorian women who find out they’ve been cursed with wildly unusual powers. Throughout the series, they use those powers against their never-ending list of enemies and fight to change the world.
When it premieres: Summer 2021 on HBO
Gossip Girl
This Gossip Girl reboot takes place almost a decade after the original series and shows just how different teenage life (and technology) has changed. The series exists in the same universe as the original Gossip Girl, but airing on HBO Max, we expect it to be way more risque than the original.

The Equalizer
In this reimagining of the 1980s drama of the same name, Queen Latifah plays Robyn McCall, a divorced single mother who’s also a vigilante fighting for what’s right — she’s The Equalizer.

Midnight Mass
Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan is at it again with another supernatural horror series for Netflix. Midnight Mass is about a small island community that starts to experience supernatural events after a new priest arrives in town. Haunting fans will also recognize favorites like Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, and Henry Thomas in the upcoming series.
When it premieres: TBD on Netflix
Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel follows Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old seemingly normal Pakistani girl from New Jersey. She’s obsessed with the Avengers — Captain Marvel, especially — and she dreams of being a superhero herself. After one very wild adventure, she gains shape-shifting powers. Disney has also confirmed that in addition to Iman Vellani playing Kamala in this series, she will also be playing her in Captain Marvel 2, which is set to come out in 2022.
When it premieres: Late 2021 on Disney+
Behind Her Eyes
Behind Her Eyes is based on the novel of the same name. This psychological thriller follows a single mom named Louise (Simona Brown), who meets David and his wife Adele, as she becomes totally wrapped up in their messy marriage and all the problems that come along with it.
When it premieres: TBD on Netflix
Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner returns as Clint Barton in Hawkeye and mentors a young new superhero named Kate Bishop, who’s played by Hailee Steinfeld. This series also takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame as he trains Kate to become the new Hawkeye. During the show, we’ll also get a more in-depth story behind the dark assassin identity Clint became between Infinity War and Endgame.
When it premieres: Late 2021 on Disney+
Inventing Anna
Inventing Anna is Shonda Rhimes’ newest miniseries for Netflix. It’s based on the astonishing story behind the New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People.” Julia Garner will lead the show as Anna, the woman who pretended to be a wealthy German heiress.
When it premieres: TBD on Netflix
Y: The Last Man
This series, based on a popular comic by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world where every mammal with a Y chromosome is destroyed, except for one man and his pet monkey. The show will revolve around the characters that are left on Earth as they try to restore everything they lost and get back to some sort of normal life.
When it premieres: TBD on FX on Hulu
Young Rock
Young Rock will tell the origin story of pro wrestler turned actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The series will travel through three different eras of The Rock’s life — 10 years old, 15 years old, and 20 years old — with different actors playing the icon. And while he won’t be playing himself on screen, Dwayne will still be serving as the show’s narrator.
When it premieres: TBD on NBC
The Book of Boba Fett
Temuera Morrison returns as bounty hunter Boba Fett. This show will take place during the same timeline as The Mandalorian. Robert Rodriguez, the director of Chapter 14 of The Mandalorian, will also serve as one of the show’s executive producers.
When it premieres: December 2021 on Disney+
American Horror Stories
This Ryan Murphy spinoff will be a spooky episodic anthology series, where each episode will be totally different. Think Black Mirror with a dash of American Horror Story. Sixteen new episodes have already been announced, and they’ll be “delving into horror myths, legends, and lore.” And while the cast hasn’t been announced quite yet, Ryan Murphy has already assured fans that their AHS favorites will be returning.

Loki
After Loki steals the Tesseract during Avengers: Endgame, he’s arrested and brought to the Time Variance Authority, or the TVA. Throughout the series, we get to watch Loki in a crime thriller of his own, as he uses the Tesseract to alter history and screw up the timeline.
When it premieres: May 2021 on Disney+
