Kids should be allowed to find their feet however they can, as forcing them to conform to so-called norms from day one stifles their imagination and appreciation for the world around them.

I don't think either of my kids want hair as long as mine, but they get the music that both I and my wife play, everything from electronic to thrash metal from me, and R&B and poppie stuff from the wife.

If your kid sees your mohawk and wants one, go for it. Why not?

Some of the "punks" I know have more respect for others then the church going neighbors down the street that don't give a shit about anything but them selves. As long as they are teaching the kids to respect them selves and others, who cares what they look like.
