The boat at the lake looks like the surrounding of Chernobyl...

there is one place similar to this. in northern cyprus. it is called cmc (cyprus mining corporation). it is in between lefke and gemikona. you could see trains and equipment they left.

The letters say "Stalinyets" - yes, it's Russian, ww2 era. But that could be anywhere east of Braunschweig.
