Pointe Dume State Beach - my fraternity at UCLA used to have a spring outing on the beach. I can remember going there, I remember the trip there, but after drinking, I don't remember returning. I once saw a dead body at the base of the cliff of someone who had fallen off the top.

Vasquez Rocks was close to my house when I lived in the San Fernando Valley. It was on the road to the Simi Valley, just over the hills.

The Alabama Hills, just out of Lone Pine, California, were a very popular filming site. On YouTube, search for "Alabama Hills movie filming locations".
