First up, the unspoken "rules" of using a public bathroom. Most folks go straight to the most private place in the room, do a quick spot check, do some wiping/lining, and then do their thing. Sadly, nearly half of the dudes surveyed didn't even bother lifting the seat before they took a leak. And only 39% actually bothered to clean up an smears, smudges or spillage. Jesus.

The majority of people are also ok using the accessible stall/washroom in an emergency, or only if everything else was full. Then there was that 30% that figured it was ok because they needed the space. There's also a staggeringly large number of people who are ok with using up all the TP and not saying anything, not flushing, and making a mess and walking away. That's pretty shameful.

While the bathroom at someone else's house isn't exactly the same as a public bathroom, some of the same hangups can apply. In fact, it sounds like a good majority of people had something embarrassing happen to them. It could be finding something they weren't supposed to, or making some loud and gross noises. Thankfully, most people are courteous enough to use air freshener when they're done, replace a used roll and clean up any messes.
