1 How to Improve Yourself as a Gambler

There are many people around the world who enjoy placing a bet. The majority of people do it for fun, though even as a fun pastime, it is always nice to be better and improve yourself.

It doesn’t matter where you are betting, or what you are betting on, there are some gambling tips that will help anyone improve their gambling. This won’t work alone, you of course need to have good knowledge of the sport you are betting on.

There are only a few countries that don’t allow betting. It’s not illegal to bet from India provided you are using an offshore sportsbook and that has opened betting up to millions of people inside the country.

Whether you are from India or elsewhere, there are a number of ways in which you can improve yourself as a gambler.

Create a Betting Spreadsheet

This is something you should always have in place, and it should be your go-to guide when you want to change things.

Record every bet you place here, include the type of bet and stake, the sport and league you are betting on, the odds you have taken and update your profit and loss after the bet has finished.

Then when you want to evaluate your betting, you can look at this sheet and work out where you are winning or losing your money.

Constantly Evaluate and Change What You Bet On

When you have that spreadsheet in place, you should be able to make changes. Look at where you lose money and cut it out. For example, do you do badly when it comes to tournaments such as the Women’s World Cup?

After you have cut out or lowered the stakes on these bets, you can look for things that you do well on and up the stakes on those to make even more money.

Is the IPL cricket league something you are making a profit on, and if that is the case then use some of the funds you are saving elsewhere to place higher staking bets on the IPL.

This should put you in a situation where you are losing less because you have cut the bad bets out and also winning more because you have increased stakes on the sports you are good at. If this pays off it could be a double-win for you.

Look for New Betting Markets to Try Out

There is a lot of sense in sticking to what you know regarding the sports and leagues you are betting on. However, when it comes to the betting markets you are placing a bet on, this is something you can experiment with and improve on.

There are many different ways in which you can bet on sports, some of the biggest leagues and competitions offer hundreds of different betting opportunities on each game that takes place.

The reason we have so many is because bookmakers are constantly looking for new markets to offer. To stay ahead of the game and continue being the best gambler you can, these new markets should form part of your game plan.

Staying stable and betting on the same markets each week will eventually be found out, be prepared to enhance your betting, change your ways and move with the times regarding the markets that are on offer.

Ensure You Stick to Your Staking Plan

Many gamblers will have created a staking plan before, however there is a real difference between creating a staking plan and sticking to it.

If you have never created one then you should do so, if you have and you haven’t stuck to it, now is the time to change that.

This ties in with the above and keeps everything uniformed when it comes to stakes. Each bet you place should have the same stake to begin with, whatever you feel comfortable with.

Then you can enhance your staking plan to make it work for the betting that you do and the markets that you are successful with.

In the example above we spoke about cutting stakes on the Women’s World Cup and increasing them on the IPL, this is where you do this. Cut stakes in half at the World Cup and increase stakes by half for the IPL.

This can be done on a regular basis depending on how you are doing and the sports you are betting on. The key here is to use a staking plan that feeds into what you are good and bad at, while also making sure each bet has the same stake as the rest of them for each particular league.
