To astroboy3000: I found your comment humerus, yet befuddling as Russia is in Asia--still funny though (You have earned +2 for humor, -1 for inaccuracy, netting you a score of +1) 06

Yeah, because you don't see tigers in circuses and zoos that were captured straight from the wild. A bred tiger is far more domesticated, which is a slightly important factor when interacting with humans.

But hey, Roy got mauled none the less, didn't he?

I was already in Thailand in a Park with Tigers. There was one with 1 month, another one with 2 1/2 month and the oldest with 4 month. I asked to pet the 4month old one, but it wasn't allowed - too dangerous.
I asked where are the older tigers - answer was, there aren't any more older tigers in thailand. After this I knew that it was a bad idea to go to this park :(

People. wake up and unplug from the matrix! Why do you think there are so many cubs and not many adults? This is a tiger FARM, farming for skins that'll provide mucho $$$. And you are paying to hold those precious beings that are actually on their death beds. Please people, start to question, instead of assuming that this is for some good!
here you go, just one news story about it: http://www.theaustralian.com.a
u/news/features/from-jungle-to
-suitcasoutheast-asias-wildlif
e-faces-a-bleak-future/story-e
6frg6z6-1226108592780

Meanwhile, in Thailand, police colonel Kiattipong Khasam-Ang says he believes nearly all tiger parks in Thailand illegally sell cubs. Each cub fetches about 400,000 baht, or $12,500, depending on weight. Last year undercover police pretended to be from Thailand's anti-government red-shirt movement and negotiated the purchase of a cub. Its blood, the undercover officers told the traders, would be used for a ritual.

And they are also inter-breeding these to make different coloured tigers - why? mucho $$$ again!

Breeding them in captivity because this is the only way we can have tigers now??? How about fixing the environment so that ALL animals can live as they are supposed to be instead of locking them up in cages so that we can all feel okay about the destruction humans have pervaded onto the Earth.
