Before you get all seething with envy, understand: flight from NY to London would be over 11 hours, typically - you BETTER have a chess set or something to do.
No inflight movies, of course; pretty much all you had to do was sleep, eat, drink booze, or smoke.
Oh, and all cabins were all-smoking, the whole time.
And that ticket? In today's dollars - $3125.
