I won $32,000 on the first season of WWtBaMillionaire? It wasn't enough to screw up my life (as might have happened if I hadn't missed the $250K question and lost $93,000).
I bought a CD for $10K, a bit more than the $7,400 tax I would have to pay the following year, and earned about $850 in tax-free interest.
I put away ⅓ for my daughter's education (she has a Master's from NYU and no debt), spent about ¼ on new dentures, and spent most of the rest on a 2 month bucket list vacation in Italy where I worked as a volunteer on an archeological dig near Pompeii.
All-in-all, it went pretty well and in the end I have had a 5-star credit rating ever since. I've taken two more 2 month volunteer vacations and am taking one in Peru next year.

What a load of bullcrap. I mean: 114 million dollar. Me: 53 years old. Lets assume I have 27 years left to live. I'll be 80 than. Quick divide: 114 mil / 27 is 4.2 million a year. 4.2 MILLION... a year. Where currently I make 50000 a year. I wouldn't even know where to start spending that kind of sh*t. Why on earth would I put anything in a trust fund? Or buy stocks? Or support the f* government by taking in their debts (which bonis essentially are) ?

The question you should be asking is: are you able and stupid enough to burn thru even a single million? If the answer is yes: listen to this guy. If you have no clue how to get rid of that cash: f*ck the author.
