In 2009 the Saint Jakobus Church, located in Utrecht, the Netherlands, was converted into a beautiful modern town house called "The Residential Church XL." The church was built in 1890, in 1889 the church tower was demolished because it was too heavy. The new house that was built inside the church looks very modern, but it has the stained glass windows that date back to 1911 and a very high ceilings (46 ft or 14 m).

The Crate is a short story by Stephen King, first published in the July 1979 issue of Gallery. In 1982, the story was adapted as a segment in the movie Creepshow, and included in comic-book form in the Creepshow graphic novella. It concerns the discovery of an old wooden crate, marked from an 1834 arctic expedition, beneath the basement stairs at the fictional Horlicks University by a janitor. Dexter Stanley, the school's biology professor, has a look at it and they open it up to discover it contains an ancient monster. This Crate Beast statue was made by Tom Savini and Jayco Hobbies.
