Mr. Potato Head is an American toy consisting of a plastic model of a potato which can be decorated with a variety of attachable plastic parts such as ears and eyes to make a face. The toy was invented and developed by George Lerner in 1949, and first manufactured and distributed by Hasbro in 1952.

Mr. Potato Head enjoys the distinction of being the first toy advertised on television and has remained in production since its debut. Over the years, the original toy was joined by Mrs. Potato Head and supplemented with accessories such as a car and a boat trailer. The character has appeared in film and on television, and has acted as spokesperson for several causes. Similar toys such as Pontiki may have taken their inspiration from the Hasbro toy.

Named "Poseidon", the giant lobster measures two feet in length and a whopping nine-and a-quarter pounds. It is around five times the size of the average lobster.

Spiny lobsters don't usually occur in British waters, but is usually found off the west coast of Africa and in the Mediterranean. It grows much bigger than its cousin and can survive at depths of up to 600 metres. Poseidon will be kept in the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay; experts are now consulting record books to see if Poseidon is the biggest one ever landed in Britain.

Queen Mary 2 "QM2" is the first liner to be built since QE2 35 years earlier. QM2 entered service in January 2004 and is the largest, longest, widest, tallest and most expensive passenger liner in history.

No ship has ever been designed like QM2, a liner which sets the benchmark for others, extends the boundaries of ship design, and which is the most powerful and fastest since Cunard's own QE2. QM2 is a technically advanced machine far ahead of any passenger ship in service today, and will be so for some many years to come.

The illusions used in the film, television, theater, or entertainment industries to simulate the imagined events in a story are traditionally called special effects (a.k.a. SFX, SPFX, or simply FX).

Special effects are traditionally divided into the categories of optical effects and mechanical effects.

Mechanical effects (also called practical or physical effects), are usually accomplished during the live-action shooting. This includes the use of mechanized props, scenery, scale models, pyrotechnics and Atmospheric Effects: creating physical wind, rain, fog, snow, clouds etc. Making a car appear to drive by itself, or blowing up a building are examples of mechanical effects. Mechanical effects are often incorporated into set design and makeup. For example, a set may be built with break-away doors or walls, or prosthetic makeup can be used to make an actor look like a monster.

Everytime it rains the road gets paralized, these shots are made a few days before the traffic jam for 600 cars got stuck there. Hunger and lack of the fuel followed, according to the witnesses. One woman gave a born to a child right in the public bus she was riding. These photos were taken in Tianducheng, a residential community built in on the outskirts of Hangzhou in eastern China. Apparently there’s only 2,000 people living there now, which seems rather sparsely populated for what they must be hoping will be a tourist attraction.

Has anyone seen this bizarre little community (or know more about it)?

The Boeing 747 is a widebody commercial airliner, often referred to by the nickname "Jumbo Jet". It is among the world's most recognizable aircraft, and was the first widebody ever produced. Manufactured by Boeing's Commercial Airplane unit in the US, the original version of the 747 was two and a half times the size of the Boeing 707, one of the common large commercial aircraft of the 1960s. First flown commercially in 1970, the 747 held the passenger capacity record for 37 years.

A person was driving to work at highway speeds when he/she heard a very loud pop in the engine bay and pulled over. After popping the hood, it became immediately obvious what was wrong. A co-worker saw the owner of the vehicle on the side of the road and stopped to help out. The co-worker that stopped had a camera on hand and snapped the pictures below.
