Don't answer for all of us, dude. The US is one of the most sexually repressed and backwards countries on the planet (as it relates to sex). We call that 16 your old a "child" when it comes to sex with someone aaaalmost in her age group -and therefore not able to understand the consequences of her actions-, but put a gun in her hand and have her knock over a 7-11 and that same 16 year old is suddenly an "adult" who is capable of understanding the consequences of her actions.

But to have that line at 18 is unfathomably naive. And to think it is protecting the "kids" is equally so.
