Since way back in the 16th century, corsets have been gracing and enhancing the curvature of the body. It is a tight piece of lingerie that reduces the waist, usually with lace in the back or front to exaggerate the bust of the hips.

These are used to keep up stockings or socks and to magically make women look even sexier. In the 1930’s women used it to store small things like a purse and it has, of course, become a western marriagtaple for the bride.

The first bodystocking recorded to be worn was in the late 1800’s. It is a tightly fitted hosiery that covers the whole body. Designs and patterns can vary from simple large holes to intricate patterns.

3,4 - it's not "charmeuse" (lightweight fabric), it's "chemise" (undergarment - from the french shirt, similar to camisole which is shorter)
