not remotely environmentally friendly. They use lithium battery packs that are very harmful to the environment when they are made and disposed of. The only 'good' thing about the prius is that it costs the owner much less in gas. The whole "good for the environment' thing was marketing. To create and dispose of the battery pack requires a lot of dangerous and environmentally impactive process'.

Only the owner benefits.
