I have a feeling the amoured cars are for gang wars than for smuggling. I mean, you might aswell have a sign saying 'search this car'.

The boats are for smuggling immigrants and refugees. The might take some drugs to make some starting money, but again, you wouldnt use that to smuggle drugs, as it would be searched and reported upon sight.
