Carbon Fiber Wrap Ferrari F40 (10 pics)

F40, one of my all time favourite super cars, and this one certainly looks nice.

It's just vinyl wrapped in imitation carbon fiber to protect the paint. It's not real carbon fiber. Real carbon fiber is painted or clearcoated to keep threads from fraying. As well, raw carbon fiber has a woven texture that is impossible to keep clean.

all that is, is an F40 with no paint. the F40 is all carbon fiber to begin with.

You can imagine the owner telling the story, something like "...so anyways, one day I was really bored and...."

Beautiful cars, a favourite for me too, but all seems a bit pointless.

Wrapping an F40 in fake carbon seems kinda cheesy.

wrapping an f40 in carbon fibre would defeat the purpose of using carbon fibre at all; it'd be much lighter and stronger to replace the exisitng metal body panels with carbon fibre ones than to wrap over them...

It's probably "carbon fibre" stick on wrap from the auto section at Walmart.
