Nothing the cyclist did was illegal.

Gonzalez may be able able to avoid a conviction on the argument that Rosa compelled him out of fear for his life. If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine.

If Rosa is convicted of the second degree felony, he faces punishment of up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, on top of being an internet-famous jackass. I very much doubt he'll think he won this battle he started.
