I really don't see the issue here. They're training. Training, especially gymnastics training, is hard. Your coach pushes you. Now, my gymnastics coach never was quite that hard on me. Then again, that seems like a very elite school. They have equipment I've only seen at Woodward in PA, and Olympian gymnasts train at Woodward.

A lot of those drills were the same things I did as a kid.

I tought the were practicing to become folded shirts so their parents could take them on a plane without purchasing a ticket for them!

I saw a documentary once on these gym schools. They're more like concentration camps for kids. Most of them don't see their family except for one week of the year for competitions, and some get 'drafted' instead of being allowed a typical more "rounded" education. The "west" might see this as cruelty.

The strength and discipline of those kids is amazing, though at what cost to their innocence?
