The homeless get an entire pizza for free. This was a think he didn't think about, he don't go to the store, "invest" money on it and than eat. It is easier give something that we wins for free than something we pay for it.

Money for smokes but none for food.....appears he'd rather smoke than eat; strange set of priorities.....

Or it could be that the homeless man knew he was going to be hungry again, saving the pizza for later, yet despite that he still gave away a slice.

Unlike the ones who can pay for it the homeless guy just knows what it means to be hungry which is enough for him to share a slice..

The guy asking had a few hundred of euros tingling on his neck as a necklace.
Nobody would believe it that he is hungry, if he would come to me like that and asking for a slice of pizza, I would think that he is a junkie or something ....

In todays culture trolls and cheapasses are a common thing. If the guys at the pizzeria were convinced that the guy was really in need I bet they would help him but they also had to be sure that they would not get in any trouble afterwards. Sad but that's how our new society works. But still kudos to the homeless guy for helping without thinking any of this.

I think this shows that people don't value those things that they don't have to work for.
