I'd say that was 99%+ likely just a line of aircraft. Possibly military, but if that was an approach/departure flight path from an airport then could be commercial. The fact that the sun is very low in the sky means that there will be a lot of reflection off the underside of the aircraft, thus the bright glow.

Interesting shot...till they touched the camera. (why are people so compelled to screw with a decent shot?)
Come to L.A. You'll see basically the same thing as aircraft line up on the ILS (Instrument Landing System), towards LAX.
