Medved, me too. To be a vegetarian is not a normal state for a human. Look at poor Linda McCartney! She always spoke about how healthy it was not to eat meat, and then she died young.

Vegetarianism is a civilisation desease. A starving African would never say no to meat.

Wearing real fur is another issue. It's not natural or neccessary. Today there are fake furs of excellent quality, but you can't say that about fake meat (tofu).

You can't escape what you are. Humans are canivores. To have a choice of what you can eat is the result of living in a wealthy country. People don't eat insects because they prefer the taste of grubs and worms to beef, pork, or lamb.

It's ridiculous that this simple fact escapes peta. What I also find curious is how often peta likes to push their "don't wear fur" campaign. Whatever remains of the fur industry today isn't going away. Their message is about sensationalism... taken on by idealistic hippies with too much time on their hands.

Sorry, ink doesn't keep you warm. That being said....I do agree with them about bullfighting---that's just not a sport. It's just teasing an animal for a while by wiggling a piece of cloth in front of him, then stabbing him with pointed things and letting it slowly bleed to death. Other than that, Peta is just a bunch of attention whores.

Technically, humans are omnivores. We eat the best of both worlds. At least most of us do.

Actually were are born to be herbivores and LEARN to eat meat so we turn into omnivores as a learned practice.

The best way to know if an animal is a carnivore ..a real carnivore is by looking at the teeth. If you have pointy incisors(fang like) ie... dogs....bears etc then you are a natural born meat eater however fangs as i call them does not always mean you just eat meat..you can be an omnivore, have fangs and still eat some veggies ie...bears dogs......

so my point is this humans cannot be a natural carnivore our bodies were not made that way by the fact that we do not have fangs(sharp long incisors) we are omni's at best and only by learning to eat meat from our elders.


that being said I think I am going to have Veal Marsala tonight.

Humans have incisors, they have regressed because technology is a form of evolution. Humans today, can be more selective about what they eat. This selective trait then is passed on just like breeding of any animal or livestock.

To say we are omnivores, is really a misnomer. Even though we are at the top of the food chain, the benefit humans realize from technology is that we don't have to eat everything that walks, crawls, swims, or grew in the dirt... Humans have, for the most part, developed what they prefer to ingest. That's why eating certain mushrooms, frogs, and other plants and insects are still deadly to humans.
