hmmm im not sure i'll let my kids read this book but it may help in a therapy.

Happy ending in the book but in real life that kid would have had the crap beat out of him by his dad and uncle for talking to a counselor and they would threaten him even more to keep his mouth shut... :(
Assholes don't all of a sudden become normal because a counselor tells them to.

I think lots of people are made gay by going trough situations similar to this. Not everyone is born gay.

Well, I'm gay and nothing like this happened to me when I was a kid. I was a very happy kid living in a happy family. I don't think that being gay has something to do with trauma.
