It's called a full wrap. It originated as a way to protect yachts during transport to buyers. It protects the original paint from rock chips, like rockguard and for vehicle ads. 5 - 10 grand is a steep price to pay for buying the color you don't like.

ummm... its called branding a car? and it's been around since... 10 years at least? My company is built around doing this type of things... and we compete with about 5 other companies while being in the 3rd smallest country in the world :D
