Kate Burrows and her husband Alan have been married for 10 years. When they found out Kate has Multiple Chemical Sensitivity they were forced to move. They then moved into the forest and built a house made of wood, mud and straw. They lived there happily for 19 months but the Council of North Devon told the couple that they've violated laws and now they're being forced to move.

First, it's mildly hilarious that they live in a mud hut and their name is burrows.
Second "...has diagnosed herself with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity..." yeah, that's BS. They want to live like hippies, and are trying to use that as an excuse. She complains that 'electrical signals set her off' yet they have wifi and she's shown sitting there with a LAPTOP on her lap....
Third NOBODY gets to just "build a house wherever, without permits or inspections". It's the 21st century.

If they REALLY want to live like this, I'm *positive* they could do it in eastern Russia or somewhere in Africa. Why not go there?

Really, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity?? But it seems as though hair dye, heavily dyed clothing and textiles, and lack of suitable showering facilities has had no negative impacts on that "diagnosis". Strange isn't it?
