Serial Tunnel (50 pics)

Pics | 18 Mar, 2010 | Views: 8942 |  +32   |
You may think it's an ordinary tunnel.
But it's not.
This tunnel in Paris is like a serial killer among tunnels.
And the nightmare of the truck drivers...

If you do not know or if you can't tell if the truck/bus you are driving, you should not be behind the wheel of anything but a golf cart!

You can tell just by looking at it, that it is too low for trucks. Bad judgments by the drivers.

Yeah Benga that's the question. I can see this tunnel from my home, it kills a truck every month, 95% of them being rental trucks. Worst thing is, no insurance accept to take that height issue on contract which means the renters will pay every euro of damage.

Whoever designed that tunnel is a massive failure in planning and design. Who makes a 2.4 meter high tunnel?? Sure, the drivers should be aware but that tunnel is retarded.

benga,

i asked myself the same question, and i think they dont want to put such a height sign (like this device : http://our.pix.free.fr/dfb/hau
teurtunnel.jpg ) 50 meters before the tunnel because 50 meters before the tunnel is on the Champs-Elysées, and that would be quite ugly on it

and the bus is clearly not in Paris, look at the landscape behind !

It will cost less to fix the tunnel than to:
stop traffic
manage insurances
fix things
and wait for the next truck in few minutes.
