Protein World:

Your gross misrepresentation of the truth is abhorrent to any thinking person. You could not possibly care less about the state of the nation or the health of your customers. In fact, the more your customers are overweight, the more profit your company is likely to make. I shall not say earn.

There is no doubt in my mind that your wish is for all women to be under the disturbing misapprehensions that they are fat - whether or not it's true - and that weight loss comes in a bottle sold by you.

Your reprehensible advertisement panders to all the body fears and insecurities of women in particular, targeting almost every imaginable hiding place for fat, especially the infamous "thigh gap", which so many young girls literally starve themselves to achieve. This ludicrous standard, not to mention the slender waistline and full sized breasts, is unattainable for billions of women worldwide, yet you thrust the model's crotch and chest into the public's face as if this false representation is what women should look like, or COULD look like, if only they subscribe to your demented version of reality, and, more to the point, purchase your products.

As if that's not bad enough, the ads are positively designed for many of the subway walls on which they are posted: an inverted curve. This makes the woman's stomach appear even less-than-flat, and again, the top and bottom are thrust outward to accentuate and draw attention to what you want people to think are the most important parts. This is degenerate corporate behavior at its worst. What part, if any, of your model is real? You need to come clean and show the untouched photographs, if there even was a model and she's not just a computer generated image. Her perfect form, proportion and skin tone betray the extent of the fraud you are willing to commit. You even have the audacity to show a shadow beneath part of her bikini, giving the impression that her mons pubis is so small as to be nearly concave. This is nothing if not an allusion to the most heinous kind of pornography. This web site will not allow use of the term, but surely everyone will understand.

And then to flagrantly abuse on Twitter the individuals at which your pretense of concern is ostensibly aimed, is an outrage that should be a resounding clarion, to men and women alike, to end the despicable and misguided culture of anorexic, stick figure beauty that corporations like Protein World - not to mention our chauvinistic society - have created.

If you want to do something helpful, that is, not to say useful, regarding national health, I would suggest for starters giving all your ill-gotten profits to charities that deal with obesity, anorexia and bulimia. Since this is unlikely to happen, I'll borrow from one of your apparently numerous detractors above, and tell you not so kindly to fuck off.

shade,

Your comment could be neither less relevant, more pointless, nor more infantile.

Some people are too lazy to look after themselves; so, they try to spread their inattractiveness.
