Photographer Jade Beall is trying to counteract the photoshopping craze by showing the world what mothers are really supposed to look like after giving birth. Her recent photo project shows women post pregnancy in their natural state. She says her goal is “ to build self-esteem in a world that thrives off women feeling insecure“ and “to inspire future generations of women to be free from the unnecessary self-suffering and embrace their beauty just as they are.“ It's safe to say she's accomplished her goal.

It's true, beauty standards suck.

I have stretch marks and I earned every single one of them, though I lose weight after I gave birth to my 2nd child, the stretch marks are still here, and they remind me I have two beautiful boys in my life.

My wife doesn't look like that after 2 kids.
These are documented cases of unfortunate stretch marks. Not everyone has skin that can take the stretching, just like not everyone has strong nails or dense hair.
This is not how mothers are "supposed" to look.

ok, i admit it, i go often on 4chan... to see chubby girls. dont know why, but i prefear chubbies instead "top models".
in my mind, the beauty is on thoose "imperfections " that bodies have. my wife have stretch marks, and became fatty after our girl was born 2 years ago. but hey, i still love her, and my daugther is the most beautiful girl in the world on my eyes.
i get mad when i see hate coments against chubbies or bbw. if you guys dont like too see, then shut the mouth and go away. we are not spending all day telling " oh my god, she is so thin that we can see theyr hips".... like you are waisting your time making critics about chubbies just to not admit you like it..
