For the third year in a row sick sea lion pups are washing up on the shores of California beaches. So many of them have been washed up this year that the National Marine Fisheries Service has declared it an "unusual mortality event". The situation has scientists baffled as they struggle to figure out the cause of the deaths.

did they forget about all the radiation from the nuclear reactor that exploded in japan? i assume that would make anything in the ocean really sick.

duh people, its Fukashima Radiation poisoning. That things been leaking tons of radiation out into the water for the last few years.
