The last one is totally wrong, WD40 freezes very quickly, do not spray it on any locks in winter time. Best way to make sure you're locked out of your car or house.

Avoid parking on the North side of a building (northern hemisphere) because it gets the least light. Park in a parking lot that gets light most of the day for the least problems.
