Thanks to his album cover police believe Tiny Doo was part of a conspiracy to carry out some deadly gang related shootings. He's currently facing some major jail time all because of one little picture. He's being charged with conspiracy even though prosecutors says he never fired a gun.

Yep the homicide rate in America is undoubtably due to this horriffic portrait of an unloaded gun on an album cover. It can't possibly have anything at all to do with the fact that arms are freely available to virtually anyone.
If they had banned guns in 1920 rather than beer, I am sure the US would be a much nicer (and safer) place to be.
But as long as they now do what is needed to be done, and they clamp down on these disgusting Rappers - what, with their 'songs' and their 'cover artwork' then I guess everyone can sleep safe at night, knowing that crime is being taken care of. :13:

Hey, monk, Germany banned guns in the 1930s. How'd that work out? :17:

OldOllie,
Hey OldOllie,
I've went through your comments... and I suspect you are sporting mullet.
Am I right?

OldOllie,
I would say it worked out rather nicely - very low gun crime in Germany now-a-days (as in the rest of Europe).

Your problem is not only guns but the way you American glamourize violence and portray it as a solution to problems.

OldOllie,

Well I admit they had a few dodgy transitional years early on!
However, these days you are 24 times more likely to be murdered by a gun in the US than you are in Germany, so I'd say it worked out ok for the Germans in the long run. There are 90 guns for every 100 people in the US, I don't see how that is either necessary or acceptable.

Either way, the point is that a rap album is not the first thing the US should be tackling if it wants to reduce gun related deaths. Any idea how many people 'died' by gun fire in US movies and tv last year? I don't have an exact figure but it was definitely more than 3!!!
I don't recall any writers or directors facing 25 years in jail for glamourising murder.

Phynix4,

If someone broke into my house I'd prefer they brought a pound of cocaine rather than a gun.
Very sad that the police would be much more likely to arrest someone if they were carrying the coke. If I had to choose between taking a line or a bullet, it wouldn't take me long to decide.
