Greg Zubiak went hunting in the woods when he stumble upon a box filled with 20 puppies. He knew he couldn't just leave the puppies there to fend for himself so he took them in. This man definitely deserves some sort of award for having such a kind heart.

The human spirit is not dead. It lives on in secret.... It has come to believe that compassion, in which all ethics must take root, can only attain its full breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to mankind. ~Albert Schweitzer, Nobel Peace Prize address, "The Problem of Peace in the World Today"

But he was out hunting. So it can't be all kindness in his heart. The puppies were just lucky they were born as puppies and not deer or some other hunted animal.

morrel2,
I didnt even notice the word 'hunting', just saw puppies. :)

westlockfiredept,
The human spirit doesnt live in secret, quite the opposite. Just because the media dont find it newsworthy doesnt mean its hiding. Go into town, i always see a few nice things when im there (which town doesnt matter). Its just the mind remembers the bad things better than the good ones.

morrel2,
I agree, I do not connect on any level with someone who kills animals for sport. :46: When I hear someone has gone hunting, all I hear is "I love to kill things, so I kill animals because its illegal to kill humans" In todays age, there is no reason to go hunting for food, it is readily available anywhere. :17:

#2 & #5 - you are the reason people hate you.
Self righteous sons of bitches.

You perhaps don't understand that in many places in the US, for example, deer have to be hunted as they have overpopulated the territory, and if they weren't, many MORE would die from starvation and disease.

Morons.

randomdude735,
Well on that point the 'food' you buy are also animals which spent their whole lives living in a tiny space and just fed food until its fat enough to kill.

The vegetarians would take the moral high ground, but unknown to them the farms growing crops poison the water supply with insecticide and fertiliser, which kills any animal which drinks the water and kills all aquatic life.

Organic isnt that much better. It just means there are some fertilisers and insecticides they cant use. Also, they use types of plants resistant to insects. Those plants produce their own insecticide and you can tell where that is going...

styopa,
Aindy,
A) over population happened because we murdered the natural predators of those animals
B) I only eat animals that signed a contract knowing that they would be eaten. LOL

Aindy, I agree with everything you say too. I don't mean to be contrary or a hypocrite. I'm just trying to call a 'hunter' what he is: Someone who loves to kill things. What outrages me the most are the pics of rich idiots posing with African animals they have killed for sport. There is no sport to kill a lion who walks up to the car looking for a baloney sandwich.

Maybe there was a time when everyone needed to hunt to put dinner on the table, but that time is not now. If they want to hunt a real predator, give them a gun and ship them to Syria to hunt ISIS.

Love you all, Peace Out!! :12:

That's a little harsh don't you think? People hate me for many reasons, this is just one of them. But there are way more people who love me than hate me, so I'm good.
I'm thinking you just need a hug, maybe a group hug!! :12:

Aindy,
Oh no. I'm for using animals for food, but just the ugly ones. Chickens, fish, cows. People just look down on you for eating cute animals. You never hear of anyone ordering the "Plate of steamed kittens" at a restaurant. :07: :08:

To answer your question, I wouldn't say no to an artificially grown steak.... Might be tasty. I'm willing to try it. :74:
