#8- except 'insure' is the wrong word. The correct word to use in this circumstance is 'ensure'. Plus, the expression is to leave a tip, not to leave tips. So #8 doesn't make any sense at all.

It's possible that it is the expression, 'to leave a tip', that doesn't make sense.
The meanings of words and expressions are constantly evolving.
"Did you get any t.i.p.s.?" seems to fit the acronym quite nicely.
