going too far or doing everything to duplicate the mindset of their character. i guess everyone can decide it for themselves. I, for one, will surely watch some of these,keeping these things in mind :05:

That's true commitment to the part. It's the residual that's left of the actor portraying the character...

To get inside the head of the person they are attempting to portray shows true dedication to the role.

Interesting to read. Some of these are definitely not "taking things too far", though. Like Forest Whitaker learning Swahili. I mean, it's a bit weird that they didn't just hire an actor from Uganda in the first place. Same goes for a lot of these, why not just hire someone who fits the role already instead of getting someone and making them lose or gain an unhealthy weight or go through some other intensive change...?

they went so far because they are actually bad actors who need to go far in character so they can act good in their role.
