The quater thing is wrong. Quarters (and dimes, half dollars, and dollar coins) PRIOR to 1965, not including 1965, are more valuable because they were made with silver. Coins minted in 1965-present no longer have the silver, with the exception of some special coins. Also, pennies minted after 1982 are no longer copper, but zinc with a copper plating, except 1942, which were steel.

Yes, those steel pennies are also called "War Dimes".They were often mistaken as ten cent coins because they are so similar.
