Yeah, well that's the US for us. It all comes down to money. Look at what Monsanto has done and how many people in the FDA either have had or still have stocks or some other tie to the company. You can't even grow your own food without knowing if the seeds been tampered with in someway.

any shit that China bans should be taken seriously cause they are pretty laid back about such 'voodoo' as health and safety regulations etc.

It's all about the money. Some years back, California praised a new fuel additive that was to keep our air cleaner. M.T.B.E. they praised it as the next big thing to help our environment. Problem was that crap ended up polluting lakes and water tables far and wide. from leaking underground fuel storage tanks to two stroke motors etc. Costing millions upon millions to clean contanimated areas. We had no choice to accept that additive, because our government knows what's good for us, right?.... This is but one example, but, i'm afraid, our government is going to repeat itself in these matters again and again.... wether it be food additives or something else. Gee, fraking is supposed to be safe too, right? so the powers that be said, till people could light their tap water on fire. well, enough already, have a great day.

Some of these are really stupid, like "GM" foods.
You DO know that pretty much EVERYTHING we eat is "genetically modified" from its original form, right?
