Abandoned Places Around the Globe (31 pics)

The over use of HDR in some of these pictures is painful.

All these are recycled pictures from Acid Cow. By the way, #30 Ryugyong Hotel is not abandoned. The hotel is supposedly finished and scheduled to be open mid-2013 but opening is delayed because of the tensions with South Korea (and incompetence).

The last one collapsed beneath the waves a year of two ago.

Now all that is visible is the rusting outline under the water, and that's really only seen from the air.

pic 19 were also known as Maunsell Forts and were anti-aircraft batteries linked by walkways from the Second World War. Sealand is a different thing.

#24 isn't abandoned. It's a tourist attraction.

And, capt.huffnpuff, is correct. #30 is almost complete. Though the Commies had to bring in an Egyptian construction company to finish it.
