For all the silliness of the initial idea, the drive (sorry!) behind it to publicise organ donation is indeed a worthy one.

I am on the donor register, as are all of my family, and there are regular news stories of how just one persons donations could save or help a dozen or more people.

It is a wacky way of highlighting it, but as he says, the Bentley is small beer in relation to what a new heart or liver might be worth.

Ive heard of a recent report that the majority of organs used in organ transplants are taken from people while they are still alive. The fact is a lot of the organs are useless to other people once you pass away, unless you die in a hospital on a surgical table.

This means that some organ donors who arent dead yet (coma, etc) may have died due to organs being removed.
