These are pretty good, but...

#9 loop a belt or jacket around the person to pull them away from the current

the back cut should be a single cut, especially if the face (front) cut is done correctly. Also the depths of the face cut and back cut should never overlap. Only go in about a third for both cuts, so that a third of the tree remains uncut. That final uncut third acts like a hinge on a door, keeping the tree 'swinging' in the direction you intended. Without a hinge (called 'holding wood') the tree will go wherever it likes. Finally, if you're going to use a rope, don't hold on to it directly from the tree. Make a triangle with another tree/stump or truck. And once the tree starts to go LET GO OF THE ROPE

And nowadays they make you print horrible pictures and messages on the cigarette boxes.... Go back to the good ol days! People were learning while smoking!
