The Royal Family Lookalikes (16 pics)

Pics | 29 Oct, 2009 | Views: 70881 |  +19   |
I think, if I had the photos of all of my ancestors, I would find a lot of people who look like me.
Unfortunately, I don't have those photos, so I can't compare.
Let's just examine the British Royal Family.

I saw a painting of Victoria when she was 18 in the Met in NY. I was stunned and feel instantly in love with the young girl. Unfortunately but for a few portraits, all we have are images of her are black and white in the black mourning dresses. Alas for color photography at the dawn of the 19th century.

I found a picture of my great great aunt on my father's side and it looks like me with a wig and a ladies hat on.

Of course, when you live for centuries with inbreeding and no genepool variation, its GIVEN that you will look a lot like your ancestors...

I saw very few similarities in the comparisons that were made, but the few that did look alike did so remarkably. I think what was similar in the photos was more of the scenery and angle of the shot. But anyway whatever...

Incredible comparisons, so many of the Royal Family do look like their ancestors. A great set of photographs.
