This post is very disturbing.
Please skip it if you are nervous or very impressionable.

Aokigahara is a woodland at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan.
Also called the Sea of Trees.
It is the most popular place to commit suicide in the whole Japan.
More than 500 people have taken their own lives in Aokigahara since the 1950s.
For, example 78 bodies were found there in 2002.
The trend has supposedly started after Seicho Matsumoto published his novel Kuroi Kaiju (Black Sea of Trees) where two of his characters commit suicide there.
But already in the 19th century poor farmers went to this forest to commit suicide, because they thought their children would have more food to eat then.
Every week police makes a raid in the forest looking for new bodies.
And you can also read about it on the CNN website.
Are you ready to take a look into the forest?

It's also quite popular to loot the bodies in hopes of finding money and jewlery.

this is totally staged, all the current bodies are fresh and if you notice NONE of the hanging bodies are actually off of the ground. All of the feet are on the ground or it is covered up.

there are no in between stages of the decompostion of the bodies. Some of their faces look red/pinkish. And I am sorry but that looks like the same green skull in every pic.

CherryD,
actually it looks pretty real. you can see the beginning stages of decomp on most of the bodies and there wouldn't be that many old bodies because they clear the forest every year

It's all real, no trickery there, you'd be surprised how fast a body can decompose in a warm climate, lotsa bugs and animals to gnaw away at things..the green is lichen, and it can grow very fast. the bodies are real, the ones that look fresh, i don't think these were taken at the same time, probably a compilation. I used to work for SAR...this is real.

Someone wondered why there were no pictures of inbetween stages of decomposition? Who the fuck would want to stand next to a half decomposed body to take photos of it? Imagine the smell...

i seen a comment saying there wouldn't be that many bones. there would be because they dont disturb them when they find them that decomposed because it is seen as disturbing their grave.
