#2 - simply not true. Play time is approx 30-40 mins if all you're doing is timing the actual plays from shortly before the hike (ie when both teams are set) to end-of-play whistle.

#5 - also, not true. For example, the Packers have always been in Green Bay, and known as the Packers. Same with the MN Vikings. I'm sure there are others.

#11 - of course, they were the LOS ANGELES Rams at the time.

#13 - not really true. In 1905, there had been something like 20 dead and 160 injured, so Teddy Roosevelt led the process of rewriting and reforming the rules. The forward pass was just a part of that.

#17 - sort of. NFL rules state that, but there are several exceptions: Detroit (Ford Field) and Miami (Dolphin Stadium).

#19 - it's MUCH more complicated than that; nevertheless, the new Rookie pay bases actually radically REDUCE how much rookie top drafts were getting paid; before the new limits, in 2010 QB Sam Bradford signed a 6-year contract for $78 million.

#20 - which is why, when someone says generally says "football", they mean American Football. Hell, even the FIFA.com page references "...Spanish national soccer team player Xavier Hernandes..."
