I still can't believe they did the first movie with a low budget... it's an awesome film!!

The underground hotel at Matmata (#6 etc) was 'amusing' (the Skywalker home). I stayed there on a school trip before the film was released - they had already filmed and left the props behind and the Tunisian desert was littered with all kinds of rubbish (made from plastic sheet, egg boxes and empty calculator shells) which confused the hell out of us - we'd have stolen it and made a fortune a year later.
