Except there's no wheels to tow it, or insulation, water, electrical or sewage hookups. Not to mention the parts that flip open still need to have cover or some minimal weather-proofing.

By the looks of it it is more like an art piece than anything. As useful accommodation it's a complete failure.

Fine, I'll play Devils advocate ...

Could be that it's a demonstration piece to showcase the possibilities.
I wouldn't mind a shipping container that I could convert into living quarters.
It would sure beat the pick-up truck I'm living in now.
