A quick and easy way to estimate portion size.

Here how it works:

-Your palm determines your protein portions.
-Your fist determines your veggie portions.
-Your cupped hand determines your carb portions.
-Your thumb determines your fat portions.

The ratios are WAY off! A woman (average weight, average activity levels) is supposed to have 2,000kcals, and 2,500 for the average male. Why are the male equivalents twice that of the female equivalent?

I've done a degree in Sports Science and aced Sports Nutrition (including beating the professor at his own narrow-minded little games).

If a man's hand is in proportion to his body/a woman's to her body, then why do men not use single hand sizes as well???

This is old news. But I'm not a big believer in diets. Everything in moderation though, and you've got to be active!!!! 92
